AUTOMOBILES OF THE INTERWAR ROMANIA

 The interwar period for Romania is a special period that included Greater Romanian Kingdom, the development of arts and technologies, and massive industrialization. Only in the interwar period cars became popular in Romania, especially because more and more people could afford such luxury. I decided to talk a little about the situation of drivers at that time, but also to present some vintage pictures (badly) colored by The Bunget.




 The statistical data is available only from 1926, but according to the book Automobile in Romania: History and Technique written by Chiriac Vasiliu, between 1922-1926 the import of cars strongly grew with an annual average of over 2000 units, so the number of cars in Romania was 11308 in 1926 (despite those 1,000 units in the pre-war period). In the next five years, the number of cars will almost reach 26,000, the increase being due to higher market involvement of foreign manufacturers such as Ford, Chevrolet, Renault, Fiat or GM. They began to offer installment payments and provide roadside assistance and spare parts - things that until 1926 were a problem because the market could not grow enough.
Most of the cars were imported from the United States of America. Although Germany was second, the difference was very high.

 However, despite the fact that in 1938 the number of cars in Romania was almost three times higher than in 1926, however, the situation in Western countries was better.

ARHITECTURA FASCISTĂ ROMÂNĂ

Hala Națiunilor, București. 1938 Arhitectura fascistă în România a fost o arhitectură asemănătoare cu cea italiană, care făcea propagandă regalistă și care reprezenta progresul țării prin formele sale ultra-moderne și străine pentru România de atunci. Arhitectura fascistă a apărut în România în planul de sistematizare a capitalei din 1935. Construcțiile trebuiau să fie impunătoare, iar regalitatea să aibă o însemnătate mai mare în acest domeniu. Eu am găsit câteva clădiri care sunt niște exemple de arhitectură fascistă inspirată de la italieni sau germani. 1936 Gara se compune dintr-un pavilion principal, care constituie staţia de călători propriu-zisă, o cabină centrală de mişcare, un corp de gardă, precum şi un peron larg, în parte acoperit, de 70 m lungime, destinat pentru protejare împotriva intemperiilor. Primul exemplar este Gara Regală București-Băneasa. În anul 1935 Direcția Generală C.F.R. a hotărât să construiască două gări speciale, una situată în capita...

STREAMLINE MODERNE DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE IN FALLOUT 4

Paquebot buildings, streamline moderne furniture and airstream vehicles in an open-world game about the post-apocalyptic life after the nuclear war Fallout 4 is an action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios. Released worldwide on November 10, 2015, it is the fifth major installment in the Fallout series. The game is set within an open world post-apocalyptic environment that encompasses the city of Boston and the surrounding Massachusetts region known as "The Commonwealth". The main story takes place in the year 2287, ten years after the events of Fallout 3 and 210 years after "The Great War", which caused catastrophic nuclear devastation across the United States.  An element of the game which I like a lot is the presence of the streamline design, or paquebot design, of some buildings, of the furniture and the cars.
